✅ How to use HAY / NO HAY in Spanish

👉 “HAY” means “there is” or “there are.”
👉 “NO HAY” means “there is not” or “there are not.”

✅ 1) Use HAY to say what there is or isn’t:

Hay + sustantivo (noun)

• Hay un gato. → There is a cat.
• Hay dos gatos. → There are two cats.
• Hay una mesa en la cocina. → There is a table in the kitchen.

No hay + sustantivo (noun)

• No hay leche. → There is no milk.
• No hay clases hoy. → There are no classes today.
• No hay estudiantes en la sala. → There are no students in the room.

✅ Oraciones afirmativas – Affirmative sentences

• Hay un perro en el parque. – There is a dog in the park.
• Hay tres sillas en el comedor. – There are three chairs in the dining room.
• Hay una fiesta esta noche. – There is a party tonight.
• Hay flores en el jardín. – There are flowers in the garden.
• Hay agua en la botella. – There is water in the bottle.

✅ Oraciones negativas – Negative sentences

• No hay pan en la casa. – There is no bread in the house.

• No hay tiempo. – There is no time.
• No hay luz. – There is no light.
• No hay autobuses hoy. – There are no buses today.

✅ Oraciones interrogativas
